NMRA 4th Division Pacific Northwest Region East Side Get-Together clinic at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse on January 19

After the folks settled down from the evening commute Dave Cook brought things together at seven PM.

A good crowd showed up for the get together. (Editor’s note: Wow, look at that tree!)

Mark Allen gave an excellent slide show and hands-on presentation and workshop on making model trees commonly found in the northwest. He showed a number of different materials and results of his skilled efforts in using them.

The “Bring-And-Brag” portion has broadened to include a monthly photo contest as well as models and other pertinent railroad related items. This month’s photo winner was Robin Peel with his early morning picture of the Knots Berry Farm oil-burning steam locomotive releasing some steam.

George Chambers brought the winning model as a Baldwin On3 2-6-6-2T of Uintah Railway, then Sumpter Valley Railway and finally a Guatemalan railroad operator.

Door prizes were given as well as some books and magazines to round out the evening. Cookies and coffee were provided for refreshment.
