I am tearing down my On2 layout due to health reasons. I have been working on this for 40 some years and have a variety of structures that range from scratch built to laser cut kits.
Outhouses, wood truss bridges, large and small industries, stations and town business flats and full size buildings. Era is post WWI. Approximately 50 structures of various types. I would like to donate these to someone if I can before they become dumpster fodder. Attached are some images of a few of the structures.
From: The 4D HO Modular Club (Seattle Pacific and Eastern) These are previous production turntables, NOT the current model.
One is used, but delivered in a very new box. Turntable is functional, turntable pit has some weathering, the control cabin is included, but not attached, the railings are somewhat the worse for wear, and the electrical bridge is missing. This has the oldest-style Heljan controller. This turntable was previously installed on the club’s Roundhouse module. No manual (available online). Asking $125
The second is new, delivered in a box that has known much better days. This was purchased as new original stock, albeit apparently moved around multiple times prior to sale. Used a few times in working on DCC programming (as a testbed for the club module), we ended up buying the new-model Walthers TT and accessory DCC converter board. Includes all components except the manuals (available online). Asking $200
Both of these work well with the included controller. We found them challenging to use under DCC. If you’re not interested in the DCC control, these are both good deals.
Dan Kellogg has decided to sell his N scale portable layout which he has displayed at the last two MOHAI train shows. It is complete with a custom storage/transport case that he made for it. It includes a DC locomotive, power pack, and rolling stock.
The “Hot Chocolate Special” train is Micro Trains Line Part #489-99321310The EMD FT-A locomotive heads a train set consisting of a tank car (“Whole Milk”), a twin-bay hopper (“Cocoa Powder”), a gondola (“Marshmallows”), and a “Merry Christmas” caboose.Layout dimensions: 48” W x 24” D. The backdrop is 7.5” H. The layout consists of an outside track with an inner passing track and a siding. In the center of the layout is a little Christmas village with six houses and a model of the “Silent Night Chapel” (Vollmer #47612).
This is a very well done small display that kids love to watch and intrigues adults thinking of the hobby. Dan lives on the Eastside and is asking $200 for the entire package. Contact me for further information.
Just in time for Christmas… an original LGB Christmas Train set, complete, about 15 years old, but unused the last 13 years, and hardly run in the first 2 years. Includes 4 additional LGB Christmas cars plus lots, and I mean lots, of extra track. Also available separately is an Aristocraft Howe Truss bridge (G scale, assembled), and also available separately are 7 G scale turnouts, two of which are “wide radius”. $300 for the train set and extra cars – that is a great deal (check eBay prices). Package deal for the set, cars, track, bridge, and turnouts is possible. Contact Al Carter at: tabooma10@gmail.com or leave a message at: 425-577-1570. I’m in Mount Vernon; prefer pickup in person or I’ll go a short distance to meet the buyer. I can’t figure out how to post photos, so if interested, I can email photos.
I bought way more HO passenger cars than I need. Selling 46 of them. About half are 72′, about half are 60′. I converted them to body mount Kadee couplers and metal wheels, and did some weathering. Asking $5 each. For more information contact Ken Levine at kwlevine@aol.com. I live in Steilacoom (near Tacoma).
A good friend of mine, Jeffery D. Craig, passed away on May 8th of this year. Some of my belongings were being stored at his rental house. When I was informed of his passing some friends of the family had already packed up his stuff and moved it out. I was informed that a member, or members, of the Boeing club picked it up. But I am not sure. Does anyone in the 4D have any information about this? Please contact me at railroadbob55@gmail.com if you have any information that can help me find my belongings.
Here is the list of items:
A homemade air-regular with a blue water trap on a yellow triangle stand. (I built this with a friend when I was in the navy).
A white homemade paint booth, (I built when I was Jeff’s roommate).
A red air compressor, (he borrowed for painting).
A green footlocker (with some personal stuff inside).
My old regular clock, (a gift to me in the 1970s).
A model of a lighthouse with working light.
There is one last item that was to be passed down to the old guard, (the group). It was a passenger set: a Great Northern Empire train. Upon the wishes, of the last guards, we would like to see this train go to the Boeing club, that my friend Jeff has visited many times. So I am asking for help from the 4th division membership to see if I could find my stuff. I know that one of the family members live in Puyallup, WA.
Thank you for your time. Robert M. Martin Life Member L5208 & L 4-221.
