He will have a test track set up for HO locomotives and will demonstrate how to use your computer with DecoderPro to give locomotives realistic control and sound.

Bring a model to share or a picture of a project you are currently working on.

Please bring a model or photographs to share.

Congratulations to Al Frasch

Well done, Al, for all those years of fine model building, sharing your talents with so many of us in the hobby, being such a gracious host at many operating sessions and for being a really fine example for all of us.

We are going to miss you a lot. I want to thank you personally for your leadership, especially in organizing several years of Sound Rails.

The Golden Grab Iron is our top award for contribution to the hobby in general and the 4th Division in particular. It is well deserved.

Saturday at LeMay – Marymount

Saturday, the 17th, Jack Hamilton and Russ Segner will be at the Lemay Marymount Car Collections in Spanaway. We will be presenting about model railroading.

Jack will present on modules and his approach to model building. I will present on how I built my Sn3 layout, The Coal Creek Lumber Company.

We will be there from 10 to Two. Check it out.

Module Kit Available at Eastside Get Together

I am bringing a Woodland Scenics Mod-U-Rail Corner Module kit. It will be auctioned to the highest bidder.  The proceeds will be donated to the Northwest Railroad Archives in Burien where one of our clinics is held monthly.

Hopefully someone will build it and bring it back to show the group.  This is a corner module and measures 36 in by 36 in.  It is a $189.99 item if purchased new.

Science Center Show This Weekend

Russ Segner, 4D Superintendent

The 4th Division is a big part of all that goes on at the Pacific Science Center this weekend. Thousands of kids will bring their parents to see our trains and how we build and run them.

David Yadock is our chairman for this event and if you want to help, contact him at 206 399 0247 or hi61izq@hotmail.com.

This is our major fund raiser each year, so it’s a chance to help the 4D and you get to meet and share some time with many of our best most active model railroaders.

Merry Christmas

This has been a very busy year in your Fourth Division. Many of you are at local train shows sharing our hobby with lots of families who just love trains. Thanks to all who take advantage of our times together to share your skills and enthusiasm for model railroading.

Russ Segner, 4D Superintendent
